DIY: Easy Canvas Art – Custom Quote on Canvas (Room Decor)

Materials Info:
– 16×20″ Canvas ($10 for 2 @ Walmart)
– Acrylic Paint ($1 for 2 @ Michaels)
– Sponge brushes (94 cents for 4 @ Walmart)
– Mod Podge ($10 @ Walmart)
– Scrapbook paper ($1 for 4 @ Michaels)
Custom Quote on Canvas Instructions (simplified):
1) Print out desired quote on computer. I used the font called “Bebas Neue” from dafont.com.
2) Cut out letters
3) Cut out 8×10″ rectangles of your scrapbook paper (all 4 sheets)
4) Arrange rectangles on canvas to your liking and glue down with Mod Podge
5) Let dry for 10-15 mins
6) Arrange cut-out letters on canvas and tape down
7) Apply 1 layer of paint using makeshift sponge brush applicator.
8) Let 1st layer dry for ~20 mins
9) Apply 2nd layer of paint using a dabbing motion with sponge
10) Let 2nd layer dry for ~20 mins
11) Apply 1 layer (or more if you want) of Mod Podge to finish everything off
12) Let dry completely for ~20 mins
13) YOU ARE DONE!!
