From installing the jamb to the final piece of hardware , this guide will show you everything you need to know when it comes to installing a french door to the interior of the house.
The key to installing an interior french door is patience. I developed this system to be both safe and efficient and effective for DIY french door installers like yourselves.
The tools you need to install your french doors are very basic. laser level, drill, driver, chisel and hammer. And don’t forget your shims or your french door will be hard to install level and plumb.
The hardware you need for the french door is simple as well . you need to interior door knobs. 2 ball latches 6 hinges with screws for mounting.
If you install french doors with 9 points of contact like in this picture then you will have doors that are aligned for many years to come without the warping.
